As part of the IRI project “Development of software for contextualization of the industrial environment using mixed reality in energy and transport”, code: KK.01.2.1.02.0296, as a part of the call „Increasing the development of new products and services resulting from research and development activities – phase II“, jointly implemented by the company CITUS and the Faculty of Graphics in Zagreb, a workshop was held on December 20th 2022 for students of the 3rd year of study at the Faculty of Graphics in Zagreb.
At the workshop, students went through the key functionalities of this solution, which is intended to improve the process of production, assembly, installation, and monitoring of power plants using artificial intelligence and VR/AR/MR technologies. Using a concrete example, the students went through: the management of virtual 3D objects in augmented/mixed reality, remote communication of the control center with field workers, software integration with parts of existing ERP/MRP systems, connecting with data from IoT systems, support to safety at work in industrial and traffic environment and support in training of employees and external associates.
As part of the mentioned project, students and faculty employees have access to a special version of the IT solution intended for equipping printed materials (books, manuals) and photos with multimedia content using AR/MR technologies. More information can be found here: https://mrassistant.eu.
The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund, which is implemented under the Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020.
